Lunchtime Clubs
We are lucky to have a talented group of staff who are able to offer a variety of lunchtime clubs for free. The clubs change throughout the year as well as offering the same club to younger years. The clubs run for half an hour with the children eating their lunch in the other half of lunchtime.
Each term, the children are asked which club they would like to attend. From that we draw up a club list. All children who expressed an interest in a club will be able to attend at some point in the year. For the most popular clubs, we run the club all year and rotate the children attending.
Currently, we offer the following clubs throughout the year:
- Crochet
- Board Games
- Gardening KS1
- Gardening KS2
- Years 4 and 5 Football
- Years 4-6 choir
- Years 1-3 choir
- Athletics
- Cross Country
- Dance (paid club, email Abbottdance5@gmail.com for details)
- Boys' Football team training
- Girls' Football team training
Also, as part of our lunchtime provision, Sporty Stars organise games on the playground and our Year 6 children are invited to apply for the position of playleader on the KS1 playground.
